Outlook Email Template Form

Creating templates in your own email program makes writing similar emails much easier.

If you use Outlook, you can create a template that you can later just change.

Whether you are interested in a more simple way of email marketing or you just have a busy email exchange , a template can save you a lot of time.

You can make several templates like this with information that doesn't change. Later you can simply choose one of the templates that you have created, edit it adding more information and send it.

How to create an email template in Outlook

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.

  2. Open the Tools Menu, and click on Options and choose Mail Format.

  3. Clear the check box called Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages.

  4. Click on Apply and then click on OK.

  5. Click on File then choose New Email Message.

  6. Choose a subject heading for the email. If you are writing newsletters often, you can choose for instance Newsletter no. 3 and then later just change the number.

  7. Write the content of the email. This can be something that you always repeat in every email. Later you can add more to each email, for example the addressing can be different.

  8. Click on File then Save As.

  9. Choose a name for the template: make sure it will be something that you can recognize easily such as Newsletter template for clients.

  10. In the Save as file type list select Outlook Template. Click Save.
